Hi, and welcome to the Zeta Iota Chapter of Kappa Delta!
My name is Ameena Challenger, and I am the 2015-2016 Vice President - Membership for Kappa Delta at Saint Louis University. On behalf of our members, we are all so thrilled in your interest in joining the Greek community at SLU. As one of seven Panhellenic sororities on our campus, Kappa Delta wishes you the best in your recruitment journey - the process can be both exhilarating and nerve-wracking, but please remember that every chapter on campus is incredibly excited to welcome you all into our mutual sisterhood.
There is no greater privilege than pledging a sorority and committing to a lifetime of sisterhood, trust, and support. At Kappa Delta, we seek out women who are committed to that which is honorable, beautiful, and highest - three values on which our 119 year old tradition was built. KD is an organization dedicated to lifelong friendship, philanthropy, social success, academic excellence, and fun that is fostered while an undergraduate, but extends past your undergraduate years.
Our chapter is ready to showcase what makes our sisterhood so special during formal recruitment, which takes place every fall on SLU’s campus. We only have three days to feature the 230+ creative, unique, and spirited personalities of our members, while also trying to assist every young woman participating in finding a home with values that aligns with hers. We hope that Kappa Delta is a highlight of each girl’s experience, regardless of whether she ends up with a bid from us on Bid Day or our chapters share a floor in DeMattias Hall.
Best of luck to you during this exciting time. Please feel free to contact me at firstname.lastname@example.org with any questions or concerns!
In our AOT,
Ameena Gabrielle Challenger, Vice President of Membership for Zeta Iota
